Please note the following regarding processing times:
- Requests should be made through the F-1 Student Requests Page in the International Student and Scholar (ISS) Portal.
- Requests are only processed during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday during the academic year; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Fridays during the summer.)
- Processing times for requests received after 3 p.m. eastern time will begin on the next business day.
- Although original I-20s are no longer required for applying for an SSN, CPT, OPT, F-1 visa, etc. students may come to OISA to pick up original documents (remember to bring with you a form of identification such as your Wescard) or request to have them mailed. The processing times listed above do not include the time needed to mail the documents to students. Students are responsible for the shipping cost if the documents cannot be picked up on campus.
*All requests that can be made through the ISS Portal should be submitted there. For all other requests, a completed request form and/or all required documents must be submitted via email or at the time of drop-off at OISA/the secure dropbox outside our office in Fisk Hall Room 105. Incomplete information/documentation may delay the processing time for your request.
